Longmont partners are coming together to host a label show to raise money for local nonprofits.
The art show, featuring art made from labels, will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 11 at Left Hand Brewing’s beer garden, 1245 Boston Ave. There will be live music by bands Cat Jerky and Parchment Doll, and an art auction.
According to a Left Hand Artist Group news release, proceeds from the event will benefit Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement, Longmont Community Foundation and the Left Hand Artist Group.
Label art incorporates labels into the piece’s design. The Left Hand Artist Group is searching for artists to contribute label art made of beer labels, cans or other labels for the silent auction. Artists can contribute up to five pieces per person. A 50% minimum donation to the event is required for all art sold. Artists should not use any glass in their pieces.
Artists can drop their art off in advance during Left Hand Artist Group’s next meeting at noon Sunday at the beer garden. Using the venue’s east gate, they can also drop off art on the day of the show between noon and 2 p.m.
Admission to the event is free. Beer and food wrist bands cost $15 each, but if participants can buy bothfor $25. Food will be provided by Summit Tacos and Main Street Eatery.
Volunteers are needed for the event. Those interested in volunteering can sign up online at signupgenius.com/go/10c0e4ea5a62ba1ffc25-lhag. Volunteers will have the choice of one food or beer wrist band.
