Left Hand Artist Group Label Show 2026
We expected rain. . . we got rain. Around 1:00pm (our start time) we got heavy rain, winds from the South and lightning. We were told we couldn't plug in our bands until lightning had stopped for 1/2 hour. The winds were blowing art off the panels and just about all our gear and items in our drawing got wet (and covered in pollen dots). The forecast was showing another front moving through around 4pm. Our event was to go until 6pm. We envisioned the worst and decided to cancel the show. The bluegrass band Smoke Signal had showed up and decided to just play acoustic, since people had begun to gather. They were great! They played for almost 2 hours while we took down everything and laid art on tables. Despite all of the chaos, we managed to sell 12 pieces! Hopefully we covered our expenses, but the jury is still out. We would like to thank Wibby Brewing for hosting us. Thanks to our musicians, Tim Merkel, Smoke Signal and Parchment Doll, even though only one of you got to actually perform. Thank you to our donors: Centennial Lanes, Bricks on Main, Valor Peak Distrillery, Dana Turtletaub Tie Dye, Tim Merkel, Bobby Bryan, Claudia Archuleta and Andy Hines. Thank you to Circle Graphics for the banners. Thank you to all of the artists who brought us some incredible art! The board needs to meet and decide what our next move is. We will definitely put something together to put your label art in front of people to sell! Stay tuned!
